Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a structured cabling for offices and commercial premises. Every cable run is individually tested and certified. Comms cabinets, patch panels, and WiFi AP cabling.
WiFi is convenient for laptops and phones, but for reliable, fast, and secure network connections in a commercial environment, structured cabling is still the foundation.
A wired network provides consistent speeds without interference, lower latency for video conferencing and VoIP, better security (wired connections cannot be intercepted like WiFi), and reliable connectivity that does not degrade when 30 people join a Teams call at the same time.
We design and install structured cabling systems for offices, co-working spaces, meeting rooms, server rooms, and commercial premises. Every installation is built to TIA/EIA-568 standards, with every cable run individually tested and certified.
Cable Types
- Cat5e – supports Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps) over 100m runs. Adequate for most current office environments but increasingly considered minimum specification.
- Cat6 – supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 Gbps) over shorter runs (55m) and Gigabit over the full 100m. Our standard recommendation for new installations – it provides headroom for increasing bandwidth demands over the next 10–15 years.
- Cat6a – supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the full 100m. Best for future-proofing, server rooms, and environments where maximum bandwidth is critical.
What We Install
- Data points – flush-mounted data outlets at each desk position, meeting room, and equipment location. Each point includes the cable run, a wall-mounted faceplate, and patch panel termination at the comms cabinet.
- Comms cabinets – wall-mounted or floor-standing server racks with patch panels, cable management, power distribution, and ventilation. We size the cabinet for your current needs plus expansion room.
- WiFi access point cabling – structured cabling to ceiling-mounted WiFi access point locations. Even in a WiFi-heavy environment, the access points themselves need a wired backhaul connection.
- Cable testing and certification – every cable run is tested with a Fluke or equivalent cable certifier and a pass/fail certificate is issued for each point. This documentation is your proof that the installation meets the specification.
