Planned maintenance contracts, emergency lighting testing, fire alarm servicing, PAT testing, and reactive call-outs. Priority response for contract customers.
Reactive maintenance, fixing things after they break, costs more in the long run, causes unplanned business disruption, and creates compliance gaps that can leave you exposed during insurance claims or HSE inspections. A planned maintenance contract means your electrical systems are inspected, tested, and maintained on a regular schedule, with full documentation to prove it.
We design maintenance programmes around your business needs, not around a one-size-fits-all template. A small office with a single consumer unit has different requirements from a multi-floor retail unit with three-phase distribution, emergency lighting on every floor, and a fire alarm system. We will survey your premises, understand your operations, and build a maintenance schedule that keeps you compliant without paying for testing you do not need.
What a Maintenance Contract Covers
- Scheduled electrical inspections – regular visits to inspect distribution boards, wiring, and accessories for signs of deterioration, damage, or overheating
- Emergency lighting testing – monthly function tests (flick test) and annual full-duration discharge tests, all documented in your logbook
- Fire alarm testing – weekly point testing, quarterly zone checks, and annual service and certification to BS 5839
- PAT testing – portable appliance testing for office equipment, computer peripherals, and kitchen appliances. We can test and label your entire inventory in a single visit.
- EICR inspections – periodic condition reports on the fixed installation at the intervals required by the regulations for your premises type
- Reactive call-outs – priority response for contract customers when something fails or trips unexpectedly. Contract customers go to the front of the queue.
- Lamp and fitting replacement – planned replacements before they fail, rather than waiting for blown tubes and dark corridors
- Compliance documentation – we maintain a complete file of all test certificates, inspection records, and remedial work reports for your premises. This is your evidence of compliance for insurance, HSE, and local authority purposes.
How a Contract Works
We start with a survey of your premises to understand the scale and condition of your electrical installation. From that, we produce a maintenance schedule showing what needs testing and when, along with a fixed annual cost. You know exactly what you are paying and exactly what you are getting.
Visits are scheduled at times that minimise disruption to your business, early mornings, evenings, or weekends if needed. Each visit produces a documented report, and any issues we find are flagged immediately with a clear cost to rectify.
